The Best Day in Cincinnati…OPENING DAY!
I covered the 92nd Findlay Market Opening Day Parade from the top of the Budweiser Clydesdales carriage. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am so glad that Carrie Cochran and Ken Breakall made it happen for me. After I was done with the parade, I went to the highest point in Cincinnati, The Great American Tower, to shoot the start of the game. Another thanks to Bill Coombs for getting me access. It was a day to remember!
On my second day, I got to cover a standoff. There was a bank robbery in West Chester that resulted in a chase by police officers. After the suspect crashed into a concrete wall, there was a standoff with local police officers and SWAT team. After traffic sat on 1-75 for two hours and seven shots were fired, it turned out that the suspect’s gun was just a pellet gun.
This year for spring break I went to see my best friend at Boston College. It was my first time in Boston and I really enjoyed the sights and history. And I was luckily there for St. Patrick’s Day.
